Today I want give you a glimpse of just how crazy I can be at times.
One of the many(many) toy lines that I buy on a regular basis is Transformers, and specifically the ones not based on the movie designs. I don't really like the movie ones, they look too much like robot bugs or something, I miss being able to see which part of the robot was which part of the vehicle.
There's one toy line out there that's specifically meant to be classic inspired toys, Transformers Generations, but Reveal the Shield also sports some in that vein.
Anywho, the stores are starting to clear out their current Transformers inventory to get ready for the big push for the new movie (Dark of the Moon) this summer. What this means is that there won't be any shelf space for the Transformers I want to buy in favor of a several variations of Bumblebee the Camaro.
The effect this is having on me is to start me to freaking out as there are I think 5 different Transformers I'd like to get my hands on without ordering them online. When I see the lines these toys are in getting clearanced I know this means the store won't be carrying them anymore and then I start to semi-panic myself into finding any way I can to get my hands on the figures.
It's silly, to say the least, and my current plan is to just wait and see if I find them in the wild. After all, these toys end up on a shelf after a few days of me taking pictures and writing about them at best. It doesn't make it any easier for me to see other people finding them though, I guess steering clear of toy websites would be a good first step but I don't see that happening.
